Job Summary A Junior Accountant is an entry-level financial professional who provides crucial analytical and operational support to the finance department. Operating under the direct supervision of a senior accountant or accounting manager, this role ensures organizational financial health by maintaining order, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all daily business transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Data Management
Post and process journal entries to compile and update chronological financial logs.
Update and maintain the general ledger with accurate daily transactions.
Input financial numbers into internal databases to ensure immediate data accessibility.

Accounts Payable & Receivable
Review, verify, and execute timely payments for vendor invoices.
Issue customer invoices and consistently track accounts receivable balances.
Communicate with vendors and clients to quickly resolve billing discrepancies.

Reconciliation & Compliance
Perform comprehensive monthly bank reconciliations to spot anomalies.
Track and document company fixed assets alongside corresponding depreciation schedules.
Assist senior staff with tax filings, VAT calculations,



and statutory compliance.

Reporting & Audit Support
Assist in preparing accurate balance sheets, income statements, and P&L; reports.
Collate and organize accurate financial records for internal and external auditors.

Qualifications and Requirements Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
0 to 2 years of professional experience or a completed accounting internship.

Technical Skills
High proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or Oracle.
Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel using VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
Strong understanding of basic GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.

Soft Skills
Meticulous attention to detail to minimize numerical errors.
Robust organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple client accounts.
Transparent verbal and written communication skills for cross-department collaboration.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
