Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Management
Prepare and organize laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and practical sessions.
Ensure laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials are available and functioning properly.
Maintain laboratory inventories, records, and consumables.
Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment.

Teaching and Student Support
Assist faculty members during laboratory classes and practical sessions.
Demonstrate laboratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices to students.
Guide students in conducting experiments and collecting data.
Support assessment of laboratory work, reports, and practical examinations as required.

Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations and institutional policies.
Conduct safety briefings and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain safety records, risk assessments, and emergency response procedures.
Ensure proper handling, storage,



and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Research Support
Assist faculty and students with laboratory-based research projects.
Support data collection, testing, and analysis activities.
Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation.

Administrative Duties
Prepare laboratory schedules and usage reports.
Maintain documentation related to equipment, experiments, and safety inspections.
Participate in departmental meetings and accreditation activities as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
Relevant laboratory, industry, or teaching experience in petroleum engineering.
Knowledge of drilling, reservoir, production, well logging, fluid properties, and petroleum testing equipment.
Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
