We are looking for a Medical Coder with experience in Ancillary Services to join our team. As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning codes to diagnoses and procedures, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and code diagnostic, therapeutic, and support services (e.g., lab, pathology, radiology, DME, physical therapy).
Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on payer requirements.
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines.
Validate documentation and communicate with providers for clarification.
Identify and resolve coding discrepancies to prevent denials.
Stay updated on industry regulations, coding changes, and payer policies.
Key Requirements:
Certification: CPC, CCS, or relevant coding credentials (Preferred).
Experience: 1+ years in Ancillary Services Coding.
Knowledge of billing rules for laboratory, pathology, radiology, DME, and outpatient services.
Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems and coding software.
Solid understanding of medical necessity and compliance policies.
