The PGT Business Studies Teacher is responsible for teaching Business Studies to students of Classes XI and XII (CBSE/ISC/State Board), ensuring conceptual understanding, practical application of business principles, and excellent board examination results. The teacher also contributes to students' overall academic and personality development.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Business Studies to Classes XI and XII as per the prescribed curriculum.
Prepare annual lesson plans, daily lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessments.
Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions using case studies, presentations, and real-life business examples.
Prepare students for board examinations through revisions, mock tests, and doubt-clearing sessions.
Assess students' performance and provide timely feedback.
Maintain attendance, academic records, and progress reports.
Integrate technology (smart boards, LMS, digital tools) into teaching.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events.
Organize commerce-related activities such as business quizzes, entrepreneurship clubs, seminars, and competitions.
Ensure classroom discipline and create a positive learning setting.
Stay updated with changes in curriculum and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications




Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com), MBA, or equivalent with Business Studies specialization.
B.Ed. from a recognized university (mandatory in most CBSE schools).
CTET/State TET may be preferred where applicable.
Strong command of Business Studies concepts and CBSE/ISC curriculum.

Experience
Typically 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ISC senior secondary school.
Freshers may be considered by some schools if they have strong academic credentials.
