About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated R&D; Chemist to join our pharmaceutical intermediates manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of organic chemistry, process development, and scale-up of chemical reactions from laboratory to production.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical intermediates.
Design, conduct and document laboratory experiments.
Scale up laboratory processes for commercial production.
Troubleshoot production-related technical issues and improve process efficiency.
Prepare batch manufacturing procedures and process documentation.
Work closely with the production and quality control teams during technology transfer.
Evaluate raw materials, reaction conditions, solvents and yields to improve product quality and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.




Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications
M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry preferred).
Candidates with relevant industrial experience in pharmaceutical intermediates or fine chemicals will be preferred

Experience
5 to 20 years of relevant experience in process R&D; within the pharmaceutical or speciality chemical industry.

Desired Skills Solid understanding of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms.

Experience with process optimisation and scale-up.

Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC and related laboratory instruments.

Positive problem-solving and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
