Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, in office role based in Dhekiajuli. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling bank and account statements, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable.

The Senior

Accountant will prepare financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, monitor cash flow, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations,vendor management and internal controls. The role includes coordinating with management to provide financial insights, supporting audits,



and recommending process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

The Senior

Accountant may also supervise junior accounting staff and assist with training and guidance.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.

Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit procedures relevant to retail operations.

Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.

Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP or retail systems is an advantage.

Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with management and cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.

Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including work in a retail or similar commercial environment.
