We're seeking a Chartered Accountant with hands-on experience in FEMA and foreign exchange compliance to support cross-border clients in regulatory and advisory matters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, regulation, and international business.
What You'll Do
Provide end-to-end advisory and compliance support on FEMA (FDI, ODI, ECB, LRS, and other forex transactions).
Prepare, review, and file FEMA returns, approvals, and applications with RBI and authorized banks.
Conduct FEMA health checks and internal audits, highlighting risks and recommending corrective actions.
Liaise with RBI, AD Banks, and regulatory authorities for approvals, clarifications, and compounding cases.
Support clients on cross-border taxation, including treaty interpretation and international tax compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams to structure tax-efficient international transactions.
Stay current on evolving RBI circulars, FEMA regulations, and global tax frameworks.
Who You Are
Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Deep understanding of FEMA, RBI regulations, FDI/ODI/ECB frameworks.
Exposure to international taxation and cross-border compliance.
Solid analytical and communication skills with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
Ability to manage multiple client projects with precision and accountability.
Preferred Background
Experience in a consulting/advisory firm or corporate compliance setup.
Prior involvement in cross-border structuring, international tax, or regulatory matters.
