Pre-Procedure Duties
Assess patient health history, verify surgical consent, and check for allergies (such as contrast dye).
Record vital signs, perform ECGs, and establish intravenous (IV) access.
Prepare and sterilize equipment, instruments, and the procedure room.
Intra-Procedure Duties
Scrub or circulate to assist cardiologists during interventions like angioplasties or stenting.
Monitor patient heart rhythms (ECG), blood pressure, and oxygen levels continuously.
Administer prescribed medications or moderate sedation and watch for adverse reactions.
Post-Procedure Duties
Monitor recovery vital signs and inspect the catheter insertion site for bleeding or hematomas.
Provide transparent discharge instructions and health education to patients and families.
Complete accurate digital or written clinical documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
Hold a valid nursing diploma or degree (GNM, BSc Nursing, or MSc Nursing).
Tamil Nadu nursing registered license .
