Key Responsibilities
Prepare the Operation Theatre for scheduled and emergency surgeries.
Verify patient identity, consent forms, investigation reports, and pre-operative checklist.
Prepare and position patients safely for surgery.
Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures as a Scrub Nurse or Circulating Nurse.
Ensure all surgical instruments, implants, and consumables are available and sterile.
Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts before, during, and after surgery.
Monitor patients throughout the surgical procedure and promptly report any abnormalities.
Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection prevention practices.
Operate and check OT equipment before and after procedures.
Coordinate with CSSD for sterilization and availability of surgical instruments.




Transfer patients safely to the recovery room/ICU/ward with proper handover.
Maintain OT records, nursing documentation, surgical registers, and checklists.
Dispose of biomedical waste as per Biomedical Waste Management Rules.
Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the OT for the next procedure.
Participate in emergency surgeries and code blue situations.
Follow NABH standards, hospital policies, and patient safety protocols.
Participate in OT audits, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing

Pay: From ₹17,000.00 per month
