Key Responsibilities
Conduct electronics package-level thermal analysis
Develop FE and thermal models for electronic packages
Perform thermal analysis of PCBs and carrier plate-based avionics subsystems
Optimize thermal design to ensure electronics reliability in space environments
Analyze thermal test data to verify design performance and resolve issues
Generate detailed thermal analysis reports
Carry out satellite-level orbital thermal analysis
Develop FE and thermal models for complete satellite systems
Perform orbital thermal analysis and optimize spacecraft thermal architecture
Contribute to spacecraft thermal design and management
Design thermal control elements like coatings, radiators, heaters, insulation
Provide inputs during design reviews for thermal compliance
Assist in developing cutting-edge thermal solutions for future missions
Support thermal testing and implementation
Assist in planning and executing thermal vacuum tests
Analyze thermal test data to validate models and improve design
Implement thermal elements such as heaters, sensors, thermal tapes, MLI
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering
Solid understanding of conduction, convection, and radiation
Proficiency in thermal analysis tools (e.g., Siemens NX)
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Inventor)
Experience with PCB modeling tools (e.g., NX PCB Exchange) is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
High attention to detail and precision
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
