Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Commis - I (Chinese) to join our culinary team in Gurugram, India. In this entry-level chef position, you will work under the guidance of senior chefs to prepare authentic Chinese cuisine while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen efficiency. This role offers an excellent chance to develop your culinary skills in a qualified kitchen workplace while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to established recipes and culinary standards
Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and organizing ingredients
Maintain proper food safety and hygiene protocols in all kitchen operations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including woks, steamers,



and other specialized Chinese cooking tools
Support senior chefs in executing daily meal service with precision and attention to detail
Organize and maintain mise en place (preparation of ingredients) for assigned stations
Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely food preparation
Monitor inventory levels and report on ingredient usage as directed
Follow all plating and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required
Maintain a clean and organized work station throughout service
