Core Responsibilities
Reading Blueprints: Interpret complex isometric ship drawings, structural layouts, and engineering schematics.
Layout & Scribing: Mark reference points, waterlines, and assembly locations on steel and aluminum plates using manual tools or specialized laser/optical systems.
Quality Verification: Check measurements against structural design specs to ensure absolute alignment before cutting or welding begins.
Team Coordination: Guide fabricators and welding technicians on alignment and sequence specifications.
Key Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3 to 10 years working within a shipyard or heavy marine manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in blueprint reading, geometric layout, and the use of precision measuring instruments.
