Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections.
Perform routine dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
Conduct advanced procedures like root canals, crowns, and cosmetic dentistry.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and lifestyle habits affecting dental health.
Work with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals.
Refer patients to specialists (orthodontists, periodontists, oral surgeons) when needed.
Maintain detailed patient records of treatments and progress.
Ensure adherence to dental council regulations and ethical standards.
Stay updated on new dental technologies, materials, and procedures.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
degree from a recognized institution.
•Must hold a valid dental license issued by the Dental Council of India (DCI) or relevant authority.
Solid knowledge of dental sciences and surgical procedures.
Manual dexterity and precision for performing dental treatments.
Positive communication skills for patient interaction and education.
Ability to manage dental emergencies and pain control.
Experience
Internship experience is mandatory.
Prior clinical practice or work in a hospital/clinic setting is preferred.
