Key Responsibilities
Operate VMC machines to produce components as per drawings and specifications.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
Set tools, fixtures, and workpieces correctly before machining.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
Perform tool offset adjustments and monitor machining operations.
Inspect finished components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and other measuring instruments.
Ensure product quality by conducting in-process inspections.
Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance.
Report machine issues, breakdowns, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
Follow safety procedures, 5S practices, and company quality standards.
Meet daily production targets while minimizing scrap and rework.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
1–3 years of experience as a VMC Operator in a precision manufacturing or tooling industry.
Skills Required
Knowledge of VMC/CNC machine operation.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Familiarity with measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
Positive problem-solving and attention to detail.
Ability to work in rotational shifts and as part of a team
