Job Description (JD) – Automobile Technician (Car Service Center)

Position: a Technician

Department: Service Workshop

Job Summary

The Automobile Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles as per manufacturer standards. The role ensures quality repairs, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine vehicle servicing and preventive maintenance.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools.
Repair and replace vehicle components such as brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
Conduct vehicle inspections and identify required repairs.
Perform pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of recent vehicles.
Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs when required.
Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and repair documentation.
Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding repair requirements and completion status.




Ensure workshop cleanliness and proper use of tools and equipment.
Follow company safety policies and manufacturer guidelines

Required Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
1–3 years of experience in an automobile showroom or workshop.
Knowledge of petrol, diesel, and vehicle electrical systems.
Ability to operate diagnostic scanners and workshop equipment.
Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Salary Range: 17k to 25k

As per company policy, qualifications, and experience.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
