Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Accountant to join our FMCG company. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of accounting experience and possess solid knowledge of day-to-day accounting operations, financial record keeping, and inventory-related accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries.
Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
Reconcile bank statements and customer/vendor accounts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and MIS reports.
Monitor inventory transactions and stock reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Coordinate with auditors and assist during audits.
Maintain proper filing of financial documents.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in an FMCG company.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally ERP, Busy, SAP Business One, or similar).
Good understanding of GST/VAT and basic taxation (as applicable).
Solid analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with inventory and warehouse accounting.
Knowledge of ERP systems.
