Role & responsibilities
Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex database applications using PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views. This includes creating database tables and other data storage tools, and implementing database schemas.
Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries and perform performance tuning of databases, including the use of indexing, query tracing, and other techniques.
Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs and ensure seamless application integration.
Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications.
Preferred candidate profile
Technical Proficiency:
Solid proficiency in Unix scripting, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming.
5+ years exp
In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) concepts, database design, and normalization.
Experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
