Were looking for a Senior Azure Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the UK energy network.
You’ll join a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) customer at the forefront of the transition to a versatile, low-carbon energy system, helping drive a Digital System Integration (DSI) programme. This programme is critical to enabling real-time data sharing, DER integration, and interoperability across the energy ecosystem.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll define and deliver cloud-native, integration-first architectures that connect core grid systems, enterprise platforms, and external market participants.

What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the design of Azure-based digital platforms supporting grid modernisation and flexibility services
Define and implement integration-first architectures (API-led, event-driven, loosely coupled)



including datacentre to Azure Cloud via ExpressRoute
Design scalable, secure integration solutions connecting:
OT systems (SCADA, ADMS)
Enterprise IT systems
External market and partner platforms
Establish reusable patterns, standards, and reference architectures aligned to DSI playbooks
Drive adoption of Azure Integration Services including APIM, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Functions
Shape data architecture strategies enabling real-time insights and data sharing
Enable OT/IT convergence for improved grid visibility and control
Champion DevSecOps and platform engineering practices (CI/CD, IaC, automation)
Provide technical leadership, mentoring teams, and engaging senior stakeholders
