We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in Splunk, Shell scripting, and monitoring tools to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of critical production systems. This role involves proactive monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and automation of support processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support: Provide L2/L3 support for production applications and infrastructure.
Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined SLAs.
Splunk Administration: Create dashboards, alerts, and reports for proactive monitoring and analysis.
Shell Scripting: Automate repetitive tasks, log analysis, and system monitoring.
Monitoring Tools: Configure and maintain tools like Nagios, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace for system health checks.
Root Cause Analysis:
Perform RCA for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations.
Documentation: Maintain knowledge base, SOPs, and incident resolution guides.
Required Skills
Solid hands-on experience with Splunk (queries, dashboards, alerts).
Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or similar).
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
Knowledge of incident management processes and ITIL framework.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
