Clinical Trials & Experimentation
Managing Studies: Overseeing and facilitating clinical trials for recent ophthalmic drugs, pharmaceutical treatments, and eye drops.
Device Testing: Evaluating novel optical devices, diagnostic equipment, and emerging contact lens technologies.
Patient Screening: Recruiting and screening study participants, ensuring they meet the required criteria for clinical trials.

Data & Analysis
Data Collection: Conducting specialized eye tests and taking accurate ocular measurements to document patient or participant progress.
Research Documentation: Gathering, cleaning, and interpreting clinical data accurately to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an intervention.
Literature Reviews: Reading, evaluating, and synthesizing current scientific literature to support ongoing and future study designs.

Publication & Education
Journal Writing: Drafting or contributing to scientific papers, journal articles,



and case studies to share research findings with the broader medical community.
Qualified Collaboration: Working alongside ophthalmologists, vision scientists, and R&D; departments in optical companies to develop new ocular technologies.
Conference Presentations: Sharing data, educating other healthcare professionals, and representing research findings at medical or optometric conferences.

General Optometry Duties
Baseline Eye Care: Conducting standard eye exams to assess visual acuity, detect refractive errors, and monitor ocular health.
Specialty Fittings: Administering tests and managing treatment programs for complex visual conditions, such as myopia progression, keratoconus, or binocular vision disorders.
