Role & responsibilities

A Placement Officer/Head bridges the gap between educational institutions and the corporate world. They lead campus recruitment, forge industry partnerships, and equip students with necessary skills to secure employment.

Key Responsibilities1. Corporate Relations & Industry Engagement
Network Expansion: Establish and nurture strategic relationships with HR leaders, corporate executives, and industry bodies.
MoU & Partnerships: Secure MoUs for internships, guest lectures, and industry-sponsored projects.
Industry Feedback: Gather insights on market trends to help align the institution's curriculum with industry needs.
Placement Drives & Operations
Campus Drives: End-to-end planning and execution of recruitment drives, job fairs, and on-campus interviews.
Pre-Placement Talks: Coordinate logistics for company presentations and pre-placement interactions.
Offer Management: Facilitate the offer process, salary negotiations, and onboarding communications between students and recruiters.
Student Training & Development
Skill Enhancement: Organize workshops for resume writing, group discussions,



and technical/HR interviews.
Career Counseling: Provide 1-on-1 career guidance and mentoring to help students identify career paths.
Mock Assessments: Conduct mock interviews and aptitude tests to boost student employability.
Data Management & Reporting
Placement Statistics: Maintain a database of student profiles, company contacts, and placement records.
Analytics: Track and report key metrics like average salary, highest packages, and company conversion rates.

Preferred candidate profile

Ideal Qualifications & Skills
Education: Masters degree or skilled qualification in Business Administration (MBA), Human Resources (HR), Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate relations, recruitment, or academic training and placement.
Network: An existing, robust network of corporate contacts, especially in IT, manufacturing, or service sectors.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
