Job Description

Identification of current suppliers based on organization need, visiting them and make detail assessment.

Developing the identified supplier including successful completion of qualification process

Work with supplier and internal teams for procurement cost and lead time reduction.

Sending request for quotation to potential suppliers, making techno commercial comparison

Effective negotiation with suppliers, preparation and issue of purchase orders

Non conformity management of items ordered on supplier and implementation of corrective actions.

Co-ordination with internal teams for supplier documentation (Drawings, MPP & QAP) approval.

Supplier schedule follow-up, arranging for site inspection and delivery follow-up.

Monitoring & improvement of supplier performance in terms of quality,



on-time delivery and total cost

Desired Profile

Valuable experience in supplier identification and development

Handled commodities like castings, forgings, metal fabrication, precision machining, heat treatment and plating

Hands on experience in direct material procurement and outsourcing process

Knowledge in material standards like ASME, ASTM, JIS, IS & EN

Working experience in ERP tools, MS office

Exposure to logistics & import process

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Effective negotiation & interpersonal skills

8 to 10 years
