Purpose

Utility Electrician will be responsible for operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems and utility equipment at the manufacturing site. This role requires hands-on expertise in 33kV / HT systems, LT distribution, transformers, DG, UPS, VCB/ACB, motors, VFDs, and building management controls. The electrician must ensure protected, reliable, and compliant operation of all electrical utilities as per statutory requirements and plant SOPs.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables

HT/LT Electrical Distribution

Operate 33kV substation safely as per switching procedures.
Maintain HT panels, RMUs, transformers and protection systems.
Troubleshoot HT/LT faults and restore power with minimum downtime.
Maintain LT PCC/MCC panels, DBs and control circuits.




Log all HT/LT parameters as per statutory compliance.

Operation & Maintenance of Utility Equipment

Carry out operation and preventive maintenance of Transformers (Oil/Dry Type).
Operate and maintain DG sets – electrical side troubleshooting.
Maintain UPS systems, battery health, and power backup circuits.
Support chiller, HVAC panel, and AHU electrical controls.
Assist boiler electrical operations and burner control wiring.
Maintain electrical controls for PWS pumps and utility motors.
Perform regular checks and maintenance of Diesel Generators (DG sets).
Maintain UPS systems, inverters, battery banks, and power backup health.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of Chillers and HVAC electrical panels.
Support Boiler electricians in panel troubleshooting & burner control wiring.
Manage electrical side of PWS (Purified Water System), pumps, valves, control panels.
Read and interpret power circuit diagrams, control wirin
