We are looking for an experienced Android IoT Engineer with 6+ years of expertise in Android Application Development and SDK Development. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience in building Android applications for IoT devices, developing custom Android SDKs, integrating with IoT hardware, and enabling secure communication between devices and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for IoT-enabled devices.
Build, maintain, and publish custom Android SDKs.
Implement BLE/GATT-based communication with IoT devices.
Develop secure HTTPS-based communication between mobile applications and cloud services.
Integrate REST APIs using Retrofit and OkHttp.
Architect and develop applications using MVVM and Clean Architecture principles.
Create contemporary, scalable UI components using Jetpack Compose.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Troubleshoot device connectivity, communication, and integration issues.
Write unit test cases and generate code coverage reports.
Maintain SDK documentation, integration guides, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Manage source code repositories in Azure Repos and track work using Jira/Azure Boards.
Support Play Store releases and application lifecycle management.
Required Skills
6+ years of experience in Android Application Development.
Solid proficiency in Kotlin.
Experience in Custom Android SDK Development and Publishing.
Expertise in BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and GATT communication protocols.
Solid knowledge of HTTPS-based cloud communication.
Experience with Retrofit and OkHttp for API integrations.
Proficiency in MVVM and Clean Architecture.
Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
Experience with JUnit for unit testing.
Familiarity with Sonar
