Job Description Summary
As a Lead Control & Protection System Engineer, you will be responsible to lead the design and provide a competitive technical solution to the customer in the domain of HVDC control and protection system (Automation & Application), associated AC & secondary engineering at the ITO stage. This includes analysing customer requirements, assessing the necessary deviations from our standard product while promoting standard solutions & cost competitivity. You will be part of Reference solution team that develops and maintains standard solutions and costs for HVDC & AC control & protection systems and provides overall tender solution with associated documentation in line with customer requirement. As a part of the team, your contribution would be a foundation of effective and positive quality project delivery.

Job Description
Main duties and responsibilities will include;
Analyze in depth customer specification, identify gaps, raise clarifications & build solid technical solution to cater to customer requirement for HVDC & AC control & protection system




Prepare control, protection and sequencing strategy specifications
Perform preliminary energetic performance studies in various simulation tools (MATLAB, PSCAD etc).
Support improvements to existing algorithm/strategies for power fault recovery or instability issues during DPS studies
Ensure that project plans contain the necessary activities and studies required to meet the requirements of the customer and the proposed technical solution
In coordination with systems team, design/contribute to AC substation Single line diagrams
Develop/ Customize standard control architectures, design of LAN networks, identify main IO lists through signal mapping & implement the necessary hardware & its compatibility with the control system
Knowledge of network and latest protocols (like IEC 61850) and understanding of basic substation architecture
