BorgWarner Technical Center India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer – Feature/Function Owner (FO) for PowerDrive Systems. The Feature Owner is a key role within the Systems Engineering organization, responsible for end‑to‑end technical ownership and accountability of assigned features to ensure performance, maturity, and compliance across the full product development lifecycle.
The FO leads feature development within electrified propulsion systems, with robust ownership of system‑level, vehicle‑level, and functional safety impacts. The role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, partners, and customers, and operates within ASPICE‑compliant development processes while supporting ISO 26262 functional safety objectives.
As the BorgWarner technical representative for the assigned feature(s), the FO translates customer needs into robust technical solutions, drives trade‑offs, and ensures delivery aligned with vehicle architecture, safety, quality, cost, and timing constraints.

Key Responsibility:
Feature Ownership & Technical Leadership
•Own end-to-end technical accountability for feature performance, maturity, and compliance across the product lifecycle
•Lead feature-level technical development through the electrified propulsion systems lifecycle (concept, development, integration, validation, and launch)
•Develop and maintain the feature development roadmap, aligning deliverables with program and application milestones
•Perform feature-level impact analysis for requirement changes and ensure alignment across affected systems, interfaces, and vehicle functions
