Job Description:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records for oil and gas assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
Ensure proper classification, coding, and reconciliation of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and industry-specific guidelines.
Record and reconcile revenue streams generated from oil and gas production activities, including sales volumes, pricing agreements, royalties, and working interest calculations.
Verify the accuracy of revenue allocations and distributions to partners and stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of Joint Interest Billing (JIB) statements for oil and gas projects, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing to partners for their proportionate share of costs and revenues.
Support cost accounting processes related to exploration, drilling, production, and transportation activities in the oil and gas sector.
Track and analyse direct and indirect costs,



including lease operating expenses (LOE), production taxes, and depreciation, depletion, and amortization (DD&A;).
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for oil and gas operations, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Provide variance analysis and explanations for financial performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements governing financial reporting, tax filings, and royalty payments in the oil and gas industry.
Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations affecting financial operations.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate financial audits and reviews of oil and gas accounting records.
