Job Summary
The TGT English Teacher is responsible for teaching English language and literature to students in Grades VI–X. The teacher will deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and school standards.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
Teach grammar, literature, reading comprehension, creative writing, and communication skills.
Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency.
Use differentiated teaching strategies to address diverse learning needs.
Integrate digital tools and interactive teaching methodologies to enhance learning.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and literature.

Assessment and Evaluation
Design and administer assignments, quizzes, projects, and examinations.
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.




Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic progress.
Identify students requiring additional support and conduct remedial sessions where necessary.

Classroom Management
Establish a secure, respectful, and inclusive classroom setting.
Promote discipline and positive behaviour in accordance with school policies.
Encourage active participation and collaborative learning.

Student Development
Develop students' communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
Prepare students for competitions, literary activities, debates, elocution, and examinations.
Mentor students in their academic and personal growth.

Parent and School Communication
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behaviour.
Attend parent-teacher meetings and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and interdisciplinary activities.
