Key duties and responsibilities
Inspect and test products:
Conduct visual and measurement tests on inbound materials and outbound products to ensure they meet specifications.
Monitor production:
Oversee the production process to ensure it adheres to quality control procedures and standards.
Analyze and report:
Read blueprints, specifications, and logs to compare against produced goods. Document inspection results, report defects, and identify root causes.
Calibrate equipment:
Maintain measurement and testing equipment, following calibration requirements and calling for repairs when needed.
Collaborate with teams:
Work with production managers and other departments to address quality issues, recommend process adjustments, and provide training on quality control measures.
Handle non-conforming products:
Sort out defective products, return them for re-work, or initiate non-conformance reports.
Ensure safety and compliance:
Follow safety procedures and comply with legal regulations throughout the inspection process.
