Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing
Handle end-to-end procurement of engineering items (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, MRO items).
Source and develop current vendors for cost optimization and quality improvement.
Float RFQs, analyze quotations, and negotiate prices, terms, and contracts.
Vendor Management
Evaluate and onboard recent suppliers.
Maintain vendor database and performance records.
Conduct vendor audits and performance reviews.
Purchase Order Management
Prepare and release purchase orders (POs).
Track order status and ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers for dispatch schedules.
Cost Control & Negotiation
Achieve cost savings through negotiation and strategic sourcing.
Analyze market trends and price fluctuations.
Implement cost reduction initiatives.
Coordination & Inventory Control
Work closely with production, maintenance, and stores teams.
Ensure availability of critical materials to avoid production downtime.
Monitor inventory levels and avoid overstocking or shortages.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure procurement complies with company policies and audit requirements.
Maintain proper documentation (POs, invoices, contracts).
Support internal and external audits.
Required Skills
Solid negotiation and communication skills
Technical understanding of engineering components
Vendor development and relationship management
Analytical and cost management skills
ERP/SAP knowledge preferred
MS Excel proficiency
Required Qualification: - B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical
Salary: - Upto 10.00 LPA
