Job Description:

Position: Starch Plant Supervisor
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities
Production Supervision
Monitor and control daily starch production activities.
Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule.
Coordinate with operators and technicians to maintain continuous plant operation.
Process Monitoring
Supervise the starch extraction, separation, drying, and packaging processes.
Ensure process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates are maintained.
Identify and resolve operational problems.
Quality Control
Ensure starch quality meets required specifications.
Coordinate with the Quality Control department for testing and compliance.
Maintain records of production and quality checks.
Manpower Management
Supervise plant operators and helpers.
Assign daily work and shifts.




Provide training and guidance to staff.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and plant regulations.
Maintain housekeeping and secure working conditions.
Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily production reports.
Maintain records of raw material consumption and output.
Report production issues and improvements to management.
Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Food Technology.
Experience in starch manufacturing or food processing industry preferred.
Experience
Typically 3–4 years experience in starch plant or similar process industry.
