Job Description:

Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc / PG In SCM / Materials Management
Experience: Min. 7 to 12 years in purchase department, preferably from the paint and chemical industry of mid to small size.
Industry: Preference would be given to a candidate from chemical industry. (Blending units)
Work location: Nerul in Navi Mumbai. Based in Navi Mumbai / need to visit Khalapur production unit once a week or more as per requirement.

System Proficiency:
ERP-Tally / any other
MS – Office (Proficiency in Excel / Word/Emails / MIS / Presentation)
Communication: Proficient in English, Marathi, Hindi (written / oral)

Experience Requirements: in chemical sourcing, candidate with background of sourcing of coating / minerals would be Of added advantage.
min 7+ Years of Experience working with purchase department of organisation of repute.
Dealing with solvents, additives, packing material,minerals & ensuring the complete purchase to pay cycle with compliance.
Solid communicator / Negotiation skills / people management.
Record management related to purchase department.




Positive knowledge of import procedures / Exim policies
Should have worked with manufacturing set up & having exposure dealing with R&D;, QC , Stores.

Interaction with internal stake holders
Factory Head/ Unit Heads
HOD – Production / Mtn
Dispatch section
HoD - Purchase
HoD – Stores (RM & FG)
Sales Heads / regional teams.

Technical/Functional Expertise
Strong in negotiations and vendor development
Rate negotiating skills for rate contracts / AMC.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in Procurement function in chemical manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of Tally ERP / MS Office (Proficiency in Excel)
