Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:
Produce engineering deliverables including drawings, material take offs, checklists, deliverables lists, etc. for the execution of storage tank, sphere, and low temperature and cryogenic tank (LT&C;) projects.
Work closely with RE/Lead Engineer in the production of detailed drawings from design sketches.
Utilize 2D and/or 3D CAD to generate fabrication and installation drawings.
Generate and check engineering deliverables.
Assist in the development and maintenance of Tank Business Line detailing standards and practices.
Review and interpret project specifications and incorporate in deliverables.
Work as part of a team and communicate work status to the team on a regular basis.
Provide guidance to less experienced designers on the detailing team.

Qualifications:
Should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of detailing experience with flat bottom tanks, spheres, and Low Temperature and Cryogenic Storage tank projects including at least five (5) years in a checker role.
Alternatively (15)



years of experience in the production of drawings for pressure vessels or other plate structures may be considered.
Should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience producing shop fabrication and field erection drawings for storage tanks.
Must be able to prepare a complete drawing package with little guidance.
Must understand and be able to apply relevant industry standards based on previous experience with API 650/620, ASME Section VIII, ASTM and AWS.
High proficiency in use of 2D detailing tools MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Use of 3D modelling tools TEKLA, SolidWorks and SmartPlant 3D would be an advantage.
Familiar with Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office tools

Education required (minimum):
Diploma or Equivalent in Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience
