Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist/Chemist with a Ph.D. or MSc in Organic Chemistry from a reputed institute and 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in R&D;, Process Development, and Scale-up. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, coupled with expertise in designing and optimizing chemical processes for the production of pharmaceutical intermediates or fine chemicals.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle Technology Transfer from our existing R & D Center and other partners and successfully implement the process at the Plant.
Lead and manage research projects focused on the development and optimization of synthetic routes for target molecules.
Design and execute experiments to explore new synthetic methodologies and reaction conditions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams to drive process improvements and ensure successful scale-up from laboratory to pilot plant and manufacturing facilities.
Analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose innovative solutions to achieve project goals.
Stay current with the latest developments in organic chemistry and contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patent applications and publications.
Mentor and train junior scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or MSc in Organic Chemistry from a reputable institute.
5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in R&D;, Process Development, and Scale-up within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industry.
Proficiency in contemporary synthetic organic chemistry techniques, including reaction design, purification, and characterization of organic compounds.
Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing research projects from conception to commercialization.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and optimize chemical processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and present technical findings to stakeholders.
Experience with regulatory requirements and cGMP practices is preferred.
