Job Description:
Buffing Engineer
Designation: Up to Senior Executive
Location: Maroli
Education: Diploma / B.E. - B.Tech - Mechanical
Experience: 5 to 7 years experience in Buffing division of any heavy manufacturing, industrial kitchen utensil manufacturers
Budget: Up to 9 LPA
Transport facility available from Surat add Navsari.

Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation & Finishing
Oversee buffing, polishing, and finishing processes to achieve required surface smoothness, shine, or texture.
Ensure correct use of buffing wheels, abrasives, and polishing compounds.
Process Control & Quality
Develop and maintain buffing process parameters (speed, pressure, time, and materials).
Inspect finished surfaces for defects (scratches, uneven finish, burns) and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Implement corrective actions for any deviations in finishing quality.
Team & Machine Supervision
Supervise operators and buffing workers to ensure secure and effective work practices.
Train workers on machine handling, safety,



and polishing techniques.
Schedule and allocate work to meet production targets.
Maintenance & Safety
Monitor buffing machines, tools, and equipment for wear and tear.
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of buffing systems.
Enforce workplace safety standards (dust control, protective equipment,).
Process Improvement
Optimize buffing methods to reduce rework, material waste, and cycle time.
Introduce new abrasives, compounds, or technologies to improve productivity.
Work closely with production and quality teams to improve finishing efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
Report daily production, rejections, and process improvements to management.
Coordination
Collaborate with design, production, and quality departments for product requirements.
Support current product development trials by defining buffing and finishing methods.
