Taking vital signs

Nurses measure and record patients' vital signs, which can help with treatment.
Administering care

Nurses may administer medications, apply sterile dressings, and perform phlebotomy.




Providing post-operative care

Post-operative nurses monitor patients' recovery, take their vitals, and assess their level of consciousness.
Maintaining patient records

Nurses maintain patient records and keep them private in accordance with the patient's right to confidentiality.
Educating patients

Nurses educate patients about their medical conditions and treatment plans.
Providing emotional support

Nurses may provide emotional and psychological support to patients.
Preparing medical equipment
