Position Summary
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety & Workplace (HSE) requirements during execution of brownfield pharmaceutical projects. The role ensures that construction, modification, installation, commissioning, and qualification activities are executed safely without impacting ongoing plant operations, GMP compliance, and regulatory standards.
Brownfield sites present high-risk interfaces with live manufacturing, therefore solid coordination, permit control, and contractor safety management are critical.

Qualification & Experience
Education
Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science
Diploma / Certification in Industrial Safety (mandatory)
Experience
5–10 years in construction/project safety
Mandatory experience in brownfield projects
Pharma / Chemical / API plant experience preferred
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of:
HAZOP / Risk Assessment
LOTO and PTW systems
Construction safety
Pharma EHS requirements
Excellent communication and contractor handling skills Ability to work in fast-paced project environment
