PURPOSE OF JOB

We require a talented and proactive Linux L1/L2 Administrator to ensure the smooth operation, availability, and security of Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incidents, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for server issues, and collaborating with IT teams to maintain the performance and reliability of our 24x7 infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

24x7 Server Monitoring: Proactively monitor server environments for alerts via monitoring tools and emails.
• Incident Management:



Handle escalations, follow up with IT system admins and application teams on pending high-priority tickets.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct detailed RCA for major incidents related to Linux servers, identifying the cause and implementing solutions.
• Server Maintenance & Upgrades: Collaborate with project/application teams on current server builds, OS upgrades, and migrations.
• Performance Tuning: Fine-tune server performance and implement OS hardening practices to ensure optimal functionality.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate processes and reduce manual efforts using scripts and tools.
• Patch Management & Vulnerability Management: Apply patches and close vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity and security.
• Incident Tracking & Documentation: Maintain incident logs and track resolutions through ticketing systems.
• Web Server Management: Manage and troubleshoot web servers like Apache, Ng
