The Department of Biotechnology, School of Engineering invites applications for the positions of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the areas of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. The Department seeks motivated academicians with a robust academic background, proven research capabilities, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and academic innovation.
Applicants must possess a B.Tech. and M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline, along with a Ph.D. in the relevant field. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Molecular Biology
Nanotechnology
Biochemical Engineering
Bioinformatics
AI/ML in Life Sciences
Medical Biotechnology
For the position of Assistant Professor:
A robust academic record with a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
Demonstrated research potential with quality publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
Postdoctoral research experience and/or relevant industry experience will be an added advantage.
For the position of Associate Professor:
A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a consistently solid academic record.
A minimum of 8 years of teaching, research, and/or industry experience, excluding the period spent pursuing the Ph.D., as per applicable regulatory norms.
A significant publication record in reputed peer-reviewed journals, evidence of sponsored research/projects, academic leadership, and the ability to guide research scholars.
Postdoctoral research, funded research projects, patents, or industry collaborations will be considered an added advantage.
