Job Title: L2 Linux/Windows System Administrator

Reports To: IT Infrastructure Manager / System Admin Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 (L2) System Administrator with a robust background in both Linux and Windows environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining system uptime, handling user requests, performing troubleshooting, and escalating issues to L3 when required. The role demands hands-on technical proficiency, robust problem-solving skills, and the ability to support production and enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage Windows and Linux servers (physical/virtual)
Perform OS-level troubleshooting, including service failures, boot issues, and system performance
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and basic user administration
Handle Linux-based services: Apache/Nginx, SSH, cron jobs, system logs, and user/group management
Patch systems, update firmware, and maintain compliance with security policies




Coordinate with L1 support and take ownership of escalated incidents/tickets
Perform regular backups, restore procedures, and support disaster recovery plans
Assist with automation tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python (basic scripting)
Document SOPs, changes, and troubleshooting guides
Ensure server and system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, etc.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents within SLA

Required Skills and Experience:
3–5 years of experience in system administration roles
Proficiency in Linux (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
Solid knowledge of command-line tools, shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell), and remote management tools
Experience with virtualization platforms: VMware, Hyper-V, or similar
Working knowledge of ITIL-based ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP
