Job Description: Consultant, IFRS17
Actuaries OnTap is seeking ambitious and motivated actuaries to join our expanding team. We will
provide you with variety, enabling you to work on a range of projects with different clients across
Asia. The types of projects will include IFRS17, valuation process streamlining, financial reporting,
recent product pricing and modelling, experience analysis, business planning, reinsurance
optimisation, where your initial focus will be on IFRS17.  Assist client on smooth transition from IFRS4 to IFRS17 in terms of gap analysis, system,
reporting process, and company strategy  Help client on policy decision that suites into client’s business profile and is complied with
IFRS17 standard requirement, with justification and get buy-in from client’s auditor  Actuarial system implementation as part of end-to-end solution for IFRS17 reporting process  Financial impact analysis including Transition CSM calculation, P&L; and SoE (Source of Earning)
comparison between IFRS4 and IFRS7, CSM rollforward, and other impact analysis that is




required by client company’s management  Parallel run on IFRS4 and IFRS17  Analyse IFRS17 impact on company KPI and potential change on company strategy
Qualification and experience:
You will need to have:  At least 3 years of actuarial experience in direct life, reinsurer or consultancy firm  Deep understanding on IFRS17 standard with robust knowledge and experience on IFRS17  Experience on reporting and familiar with one or more reporting basis (e.g. IFRS, RBC, Solvency
II, EV)  A team player who collaborate well with other people and with open mind on changes  Valuable communication skills including both written and verbal, be able to communicate
complex matters to lay people  Self-motivated and enjoy problem solving  Enjoys working on projects, and strictly adhere to project timeline with quality delivery  Advanced user on one or more actuarial software e.g. Prophet, Axis
