Tile: Senior Compute Engineer (Cloud Windows), Compute Operations
Location: Bengaluru
Working Type: Hybrid ( 3 days mandate in office)
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with advanced Windows server and domain experience combined with cloud support experience to join our EMEA Compute team on a full time permanent basis.
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining News Corps IT infrastructure systems and services across our AWS & Azure cloud environments. This will cover supporting the day-to-day operations delivered by the internal engineering teams, whilst also supporting current project initiatives and technology solutions. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, enabling effective dialogue with both technical and non-technical audiences.
With at least 7 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering (AWS or Azure) developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform in a mixed Windows / Linux workplace.
Responsibilities
Uphold and maintain the operational standards and capabilities for cloud-hosted services
Well-versed in Windows operating systems running as Infrastructure as a Service
Manage and administer Active Directory services, including user and group management, authentication, and access controls, to ensure secure and seamless identity management
Develop runbooks and automation for the operational activities to ensure repeatability
Ensure the relevant AWS & Azure landing zones are maintained to best practice standards and continually align to News Corps minimum standards for operations and security
Automation of processes and workflows, using tools and technologies in the market place Ansible, Terraform, Git Actions etc
