Position Summary:
We are seeking a Tool Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Pune. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of tooling and fixtures, with a focus on plastic welding technologies and manufacturing excellence. You will play a key role in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality, effective, and cutting-edge engineering solutions.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Analyze existing tooling designs using CAD tools and implement improvements for efficiency and performance
Develop and test prototypes for current tooling and fixture designs
Collaborate with manufacturing plants to understand challenges and resolve technical issues
Execute engineering change orders (ECOs) and design updates as required




Design work holding fixtures and tooling solutions for various welding technologies with optimized inputs
Support new product development (NPD) by contributing to design and development of components and assemblies
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and build detailed assembly documentation for tooling designs
Upgrade legacy drawings and models to current CAD platforms and standards
Ensure timely completion of projects while meeting both defined and evolving requirements
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in ERP systems such as Oracle
Adhere to organizational quality systems and engineering standards
Take ownership of additional responsibilities aligned with business needs
