About the Role
ShimentoX Technologies is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems. You will play a key role in driving system architecture, ensuring code quality, and contributing to the continuous improvement of backend services and development practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
Drive system design and architecture discussions for recent and existing services.
Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.
Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality, and mentor junior engineers when needed.
Identify performance bottlenecks and design robust solutions.
Quickly ramp up on recent technologies, business domains, and existing codebases.
Contribute to improving development processes, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability across microservices.
Support technical direction and contribute to the overall product roadmap.
Must-Have Skills
Solid proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.
Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Expertise in relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
Proven ability to design and build scalable backend architectures
