SAP HCM Time Management (Enhancement of Overtime Approval Process)

Existing Scenario- As per existing process for Overtime Pre-approval is required to

be taken prior to applying for actual Overtime.

Current Requirement- To Remove overtime pre-approval request step.

When actual Overtime is applied, Its required to be approved based on following authorization levels

Supervisor Up to 20 Hours

Section Head Up to 40 Hours

Manager Up to 80 Hours

GM Up to 160 Hours

VP More than 160 Hours

The overtime approval workflow will be as below:

o Up to 20 Hours: Supervisor.

o Up to 40 Hours: Supervisor >> Section Head

o Up to 80 Hours: Supervisor >> Section Head >> Manager

o Up to 160 Hours: Supervisor >> Section Head >> Manager >> GM.

o More than 160 Hours: Supervisor >> Section Head>> Manager >>GM >>VP
The workflow will be modified based on how many OT hours an employee’s line manager can approve. If the line manager is “Manager Level”,



they can approve up to 80 hours, if requests exceeding this amount, it will follow the workflow.
