Copy edits, proof and prepare titles for publication, all the way up to production and plotters
Liaising with commissioning editors, authors and other stakeholders
Marking copy with standard proofreading marks to notify authors and editors of necessary changes
Ability to rephrase, rewrite portions of text for better readability
Checking facts and statistics to ensure the accuracy of the text
Knowledge of referencing of footnotes and endnotes
An eye for standardization and consistency of house style throughout the book and across all titles.
