Job Description

What you’ll do…
Help create and regularly refresh a balanced, exciting and commercially sensible wine list for our restaurants, bars and events.
Make wine recommendations that start with the guest - listening to what they like, explaining options simply and never making anyone feel out of their depth.
Deliver confident, relaxed wine service, including pairing, decanting and bottle presentation where appropriate.
Build sales through genuine knowledge, outstanding storytelling and thoughtful suggestions rather than hard selling.
Manage wine ordering, receiving, storage, stock rotation and inventories, keeping availability and quality under control.
Track wine performance and revenue, using the numbers to refine the list, pricing and activity plan.
Train and coach the F&B; team on wine knowledge, service, pairings and how to make helpful recommendations.
Create tastings, events and collaborations that bring people into the hotel and make wine feel social and fun.
Develop positive relationships with suppliers and stay connected to current producers, regions and trends.
Work closely with chefs and F&B; leaders so the wine and food offers complement each other.
