We have an exciting chance for an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our Experian IT Services function. Within the team, you will be responsible for the support of z/OS operating system and related infrastructure; Vendor supplied software and hardware configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
z/OS system software installation, maintenance, configuration and support
ISV software installation, maintenance, configuration and support.
Mainframe hardware configuration
Skills and Technology Requirements
SME level understanding and experience on the following components:
· z/OS installation, maintenance, configuration and support
· ISV software installation, maintenance, configuration and support - especially BMC products
· HCD and experience of z16,
virtual tape and disk infrastructure
· SMPE
· Parallel sysplex
Understanding and exposure to the following :
· CICS / DB2 / VSAM
· Storage management CICS / DB2 / VSAM
· BMC software stack especially Control-M and AMI OPS products
· Security RACF
· Assembler and user exit coding
· Performance and capacity management
· Unix Systems Services
Experience
10+ years experience of z/OS systems programming
Excellent problem solving skills combined with a passion for continuous improvement
Robust communication and collaboration skills.
