We are seeking a Senior Analyst (fixed-term) to join the Air Quality Policy and
Outreach team and contribute to emission inventory development, techno-economic
analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
Collect and analyse datasets from government sources, field surveys, and
stakeholder consultations.
Develop bottom-up emission inventories across all sectors.
Apply basic GIS knowledge in the context of air pollution emission
inventories; independently use QGIS to generate gridded emission inventory maps
at city and hyperlocal scales.
Assist with, and where possible lead, field surveys for transport emission
inventories.
Conduct policy gap analysis and assess drivers of policy change through
literature review and stakeholder engagement.
Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programmes to
strengthen the understanding of air pollution risks.
Contribute to multidisciplinary projects, including proposal development,
report writing, and project execution.
Support the Air Quality sector’s capacity-building programmes.




Develop air quality indicators relevant to Indian contexts, working closely
with the Atmospheric Composition Observations and Modelling teams.
Prepare documentation and technical reports.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering,
chemistry, or atmospheric sciences.
Master’s degree in public policy may be considered, provided the candidate
has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in air quality management within a leading
research organisation.

Skill Set
Well versed in NCAP, city action plans, XV Finance Commission reporting,
and air quality management and policy in India.
Expertise in financial modelling and techno-economic assessment will be an
advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency
in Kannada, Odia, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi (Gurmukhi), or another regional
language will be an advantage.
