Play a role in developing protected work culture that embraces zero harm through health, safety and environmental awareness.
Identify hazards, unsafe acts/conditions in shift and intervene to have corrective actions through Ops/Eng Shift in charge
To carry out Tool talk, conducting Mock Drills, Safety Campaigns etc.
To co-ordinate with the Security Supervisor to make sure the terminal is protected and secure.
To effectively implement safety breach management systems.
Plan and conduct awareness programs and activities during the Safety and Workplace day and maintain the Safety employee of month / year award scheme
To discharge the day to day activities as assigned by the superior.
To give induction training whenever required.




Co ordinate with CLMS to ensure compliance to CLMS requirements on Safety by contracted staff.
To co-ordinate with the Shift Superintendent to remove all the unauthorized vehicles inside.
To assist Ops/Eng Shift in charge to handle emergencies in Terminal.
To report all the near misses/hazard etc.
To carry out inspections on fire fighting and life saving equipments, container handling equipments , engagement programs as assigned.
To get preliminary investigation carried out in his shift.
